
WHANGAROA ACTIVITIES
Whangaroa is the perfect base for day trips around the Northland region including Cape Reinga, Paihia and the Bay of Islands. Here are some wonderful activities the area has to offer which we would be happy to organise for you.
Saint Paul's volcanic dome is a short distance behind Whangaroa Luxury Stay. There are many other native bush walks in the area including Lane Cove from Totara North which takes you to the Duke's Nose — all having fantastic views over the Whangaroa Harbour. There is also the Puketi Kauri Forest with ancient kauri trees to visit.

Cape Reinga is almost as far north as you can go in New Zealand. Popular activities at Cape Reinga include guided tours, scenic flights, diving, snorkelling, fishing, hiking and bird watching.
The Bay of Islands has a rich history and includes beautiful coastline & beaches, excellent shopping, cafes and restaurants and activities such as fishing, snorkelling & Kyaking

Whether you are swimming, snorkeling, boating, having a picnic or just walking along the white sandy beaches, this is one of the highlights of your stay. Some of the beaches include Tauranga Bay, Taupo Bay, Matauri Bay, the many stunning beaches in Doubtless Bay and of course Ninety Mile Beach.
